Relatives as Parents

Help!  I am a single grandmother and I am a full time caregiver of my three grandchildren ages five, seven, and nine.  I am very overwhelmed and do not know what to do.  Is there anyone I can talk to?  If this sounds familiar, RAPP is here to support you whether you are raising a grandchild, niece, nephew, or other relative child under age 18. 

Services offered by RAPP include: 

- Sharing groups and social activities in several areas of WV

- A toll free warm line 1-866-CALL-MWV  (to view the warm line leaflet, click here)

- Information and Referral including but not limited to sources of legal help, benefit information using AARP quickLINK, applying for benefits using DHHR inROADS, navigating the school system, and tax credits.

- Information booklets including a Resource Guide (click here to view), a Legal Guide (click here to view) and a Question and Answer Guide (Click here to view) All can be downloaded from this web site.

- Workshops on kinship issues

- A web page WVRAPP.org and a list serve 

- A lending library with materials related to kinship care issues.
