About Us

The FrameWorks initiative provides a variety of programs to support, build and strengthen West Virginia families. These include adoptive and foster parent recruitment, child specific adoption recruitment and kinship care support for relative caregivers. FrameWorks is not a direct service adoption program. We do not engage in adoption or foster parent certification; however we do provide families with information and support.

The Need...

There are currently around 4,000 children in West Virginia's foster care system. Approximately 1,000 of these children are legally eligible to be adopted. Many of the children awaiting adoption are older, part of sibling groups, of a racial or ethnic minority or have behavioral / emotional issues.
