FrameWorks is a program of Mission West Virginia that provides support for those interested in foster care or kinship care to understand the system, find a placement agency, and prepare to make a meaningful difference in the life of a child.
Our efforts include recruiting families to foster/adopt, helping families to navigate the certification process and providing support to kinship caregivers. Additionally, we organize events throughout the year to promote awareness of foster care, adoption and kinship care.
If you would like to receive an information packet about how to become a foster and/or adoptive parent, please fill out the following form at this link: ONLINE INFORMATION REQUEST FORM. We also encourage you to give us a call if you have any questions. For questions or to speak directly with our Foster Care Coordinator, call 304-562-0723.
Bridge Program
The Bridge program guides foster care students towards their education goals. We know that when students stay in school, they can envision a positive future. We support 300 students each year on their respective journey with educational advocacy, mentoring, student enrichment, college funding support and post-secondary education planning. This mentoring relationship has resulted in continuous improvements in their academic performance, specifically attendance, behavior, and grades. Most encouraging is that every high school senior goes on to pursue a post-secondary education plan
Relatives As Parents Program
If you are raising another family member’s child (or a child with close family ties) and are seeking information and resources, the WV Relatives as Parents Program (WV RAPP) is here to help!
