Community Action of South Eastern WV
Community Action of South Eastern West Virginia (CASE) is one of 16 community action agencies in the state, and one of more than 1200 nationwide. Regardless of age, gender, race, or financial status they provide programs, services and information that improve people's lives.
CASE partners with Mission WV through their Project Yes and TPP (Teen Pregnancy Prevention) programs, reaching over 3,500 students (12-18 years old) in Mercer, McDowell, Monroe, Wyoming and Raleigh counties.
Rainelle Medical Center
Rainelle Medical Center (RMC) serves portions of Fayette, Greenbrier, Nicholas, and Summers Counties from three primary care centers and four school-based health center sites situated in the rural and very picturesque New River Valley region of eastern West Virginia. As part of RMC’s mission and practice philosophy, it their goal to provide patients with all of the tools necessary to have comprehensive health care, which includes prevention and health education.
RMC partners with Mission WV through their Teen Pregnancy Prevention program. In this program, RMC focuses on the following goals:
Encourage youth to make informed decision making
Inform youth of the consequences of engaging in risky behavior
Teach youth healthy refusal skills
Work with parents and children to improve communication and promote the skill building necessary to resist sexual activity and the use of harmful substances.
