Did you have fears about becoming a foster parent?

We were terrified about becoming so attached and then going back home. Once we connected with parents and grandparents and formed relationships we felt good about being a small part of their journey and most families realized we loved their child and wanted what was best for them. Some parents even let us stay involved with the children.

Most days fostering are trial and error. Not knowing what all the child has seen or been through in their life can be challenging.

But we try to do our best and provide as much love and compassion as possible. Even on the days when it’s hard.
