Mission West Virginia Names New Executive Director, Kelly Thompson
Mission West Virginia is pleased to announce that Kelly Thompson, our former Associate Director, has been selected to serve as Executive Director. Kelly has been with Mission WV since 2001 and her dedication to empowering children and families throughout the state has been evident in her work and commitment to our organization.
With a background in Social Work, Kelly has created sustainable programming and managed multiple state and federal grants. If you’ve had the opportunity to work with Kelly, you’ve witnessed her ability to organize and manage in a leadership role while conveying genuine care and support for those she is working with. She is a true team player and creative thinker. She has demonstrated her ability to build up the capacity of Mission West Virginia and we are eager to witness the successes she will have and goals she will reach as she takes on this new role.
We asked Kelly what she loved most about working at Mission WV. Her response, "The dedication our staff has for youth is unwavering. We help find families for children in foster care and provide life-skills education for youth across our state. This job is key to a brighter tomorrow for so many, and I can't imagine being anywhere else."
